The burst pressure range of braided silicone tubing is between 12 and 38 kg, with a nominal pressure up to 8 MPa. It exhibits good kink resistance and a bending radius ranging from 35 to 200 mm. Smaller inner diameters result in greater pressure resistance.
The typical operating temperature range is -73.3°C to +250°C, with a Shore hardness of 70A. Braided silicone tubing is resistant to temperature, compression, chemicals, ozone, moisture, and environmental corrosion, and does not decompose odors or tastes in solution media.
The product complies with USP Class VI, FDA CFR 177.2600, ISO 10993, NSF 51, European Pharmacopoeia 3.1.9 and 3A standards, and some products are also RoHS and LFGB certified.
Braided silicone tubing can be sterilized via CIP, SIP, radiation, or autoclaving. Its translucent walls allow for visual monitoring of media flow. When the temperature exceeds 21°C, the burst pressure of the product will decrease by 5% for every 38°C increase.
